D & R Boats, New Jersey’s foremost boating center, was founded in Green Brook in 1956 by Dominic Barone. His dedication to superior service and attention to detail, the keys to D & R’s success, have been instilled in his two sons, Robert and Donald. And now with the third generation joining the succession, we have grown the business to what it is today - the state’s largest, multi-branch operation. Originally located in Green Brook, New Jersey where most of the state’s boating activity was centered at that time, we now have three operations. Harbour Yacht Club on the shore in Normandy Beach was added 1992 and the Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City was acquired in 2002.
For boaters, we represent three top-of-the-line new boat manufacturers – Crownline, Robalo, and Cruisers Yachts. And, for the past 10 years in a row, we have been recognized by each as one of their top 5 dealers worldwide in both sales and service. In addition, we offer the complete line of Mercury/Mercruiser, and Yamaha, inboard and outboard motors. To maintain the highest level of service and competence, all of our mechanics are required to attend seminars and training classes offered by both our engine and boat manufacturers.
After nearly 50 years of service to New Jersey’s boating enthusiasts, we have gained a solid reputation for honesty, integrity, and professionalism. This is witnessed by the many awards and certificates bestowed upon us by the manufacturers we represent. Even more significant though is the overwhelming approval rating we have earned from our long-term customers who return year after year for service, a new boat, or just to say ‘hello’ and see what’s new.
Green Brook. This location, on Route 22 East, is home to our corporate offices and includes a well-stocked chandlery catering to every boating need. Our spacious showroom features all three of our new boat lines, outboard and inboard engines, and D & R Certified pre-owned boats. We also have complete engine repair and service facilities on site as well as a fleet of fully stocked trucks that make ‘dock calls’ to our customers when needed.
Normandy Beach. The 144-slip Harbour Yacht Club is conveniently located in Barnegat Bay on the Jersey Shore on Route 35 South in Normandy Beach. This well-protected full-service marina, just a short walk to the beach, offers the same superior sales and repair facilities found in Green Brook.
Liberty Landing. The recently acquired 500-slip Liberty Landing Marina, with its breathtaking views of New York City, is conveniently located on Audrey Zapp Drive in Liberty State Park. Situated at the mouth of the Hudson River in New York Harbor, it is easily accessible by land or sea. The marina includes a complete sales showroom for new and previously owned boats as well as limited service facilities.
